Sixth Annual Heart Health Focus Day

Date: February 18, 2012 Time: 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Event Description Coulis Cardiology invites the community to join its sixth annual Heart Health Focus Day celebration from 9 am to 1 pm on February 18 at Blue Harbor Resort in Sheboygan, Wis.

The day will feature the season five winner of NBC's hit show The Biggest Loser: Alison “Ali” Vincent. Vincent, an Arizona native and the show’s first-ever female winner, is a dynamic, energetic and inspirational speaker. Her personal mantra is “Believe it. Be it.” and she will share her message of positivity, lifelong health and fitness.

A former champion synchronized swimmer, Vincent set foot on The Biggest Loser ranch weighing 234 pounds. After weeks of hard work and dedication to health and fitness on the ranch and at home, Vincent stepped on the scale at the finale weighing 122 pounds – 112 pounds less than her starting weight.

A heart-healthy lunch will be part of the festivities, along with exhibits offering information about heart health and various heart screenings and treatments. Coulis Cardiology physician Louie Coulis, MD, FACC will lead the day’s event.

“A dynamic, inspirational speaker like Ali Vincent can really drive home the importance of keeping your heart healthy, and that’s what Heart Health Focus Day is all about,” says Coulis.

Heart disease is the number one cause of death in the United States and a leading cause of death worldwide. Knowing what to do to prevent heart disease can save your life or the lives of those you love. Coulis Cardiology seeks to educate and treat the community to lower the number of men and women who suffer from heart-related conditions.
