Born Learning Trails provide free opportunities for parents, grandparents and caregivers to boost young children's literacy and language skills. The trails feature interactive stations with tips and tools to engage children in play-based learning activities. By playing and exploring together, caregivers can help their children get ready for success in school and in life. Generations Intergenerational Center in Plymouth was a logical site for the first Born Learning Trail. They have been great collaborators on a variety of projects and have been working on an exercise path already. Executive Director Joann Van Horn Wieland shares, “Our VitaCourse at Generations is an excellent way for adults to exercise and enjoy being outdoors. In addition to adult-sized exercise stations, several companion pieces designed for children are slated for installation this fall. Together, adult and child, experience the joy of being together through movement and nature.” A ribbon cutting celebration will take place on Tuesday, October 25th at 2:30 p.m. The community is welcome to attend, explore the trail and enjoy refreshments.
