The integration of millennials and Gen Zs to global markets is quickly changing many business and retail paradigms. The new players prefer brands that they can relate to, brands that give them a sense of belonging, with values they can adhere to and support, brands -or companies- that communicate interactively and transparently. It is no longer about business models in which companies seek to persuade customers to buy certain products. The new way is all about interaction, establishing connections and a continuous exchange of ideas.
This trend is also huge in the food industry, manifesting itself as a preference for organic and fair trade certified products. Consumers want to know where, who, what and how this product came to being. From the food we buy to the design of a computer mouse we use every day; companies are marketing their products through the power of storytelling. But the stories better be real!
Marcos Guevara is the co-owner of Origins Company and managing partner of SME Partners. He will share his experiences with extreme engagement and radical transparency. A versatile business and market strategist, Marcos has over 15 years retooling companies to respond to their markets.
