Pat Dolan instructs at The Center for Business Performance Solutions which is part of the Waukesha County Technical College.
In organizational change, lack of accountability often becomes a major source of resistance to change. This session provides an opportunity for any “people manager”, at any level, to “set and get high expectations met all while building a more positive relationship with employees.”
1. Participants learn where they fall on the management continuum of being “too hard” or “too soft” and why managing based on your personality style is not only ineffective but can damage effective employee performance and sacrifice organizational objectives.
2. An effective standard operating procedure (SOP) is taught on how to have a conversation when an employee has missed an expectation, broken a conduct or attendance rule, or has missed expectations in quality and / or productivity. Following the SOP will have the effect of the supervisor / manager possessing a high degree of “Emotional Intelligence.”
3. Participants will explore how to prepare for the “Coaching For Accountability” (CFA) conversation in such a way that the employee will experience being “set up for success” by starting the conversation with effective conversational openers.
4. The seven “Communication Challenges” that can interfere with a successful CFA session will be taught and practiced. Each challenge standardized response allow the manager / supervisor to maintain control and create a successful agreement for future behavior.

Lean was through two Chicago Wiremold Divisions. Wiremold
