A peer-to-peer roundtable specifically for HR Managers and open to members of Sheboygan County Chamber and members of Sheboygan Area SHRM. Maybe this will convince you to attend… Why You Might Need A Peer-to-Peer Roundtable The original article was written to an entrepreneur, but the message applies to many people working in businesses of all types both profit and nonprofit. For example, CFO/Controllers and Internal Control managers. So, where we’ve inserted XX/XX’ers, put in your own name/title and join us for the next Chamber roundtable and interact with your peers. There's no question that XX’ers are wired a bit differently than the rest of the world. Not only can you envision ways to fill unmet needs, but you have the guts to take risks and aren't confined by societal norms. Your bold attitude can lead to great advances, as well as great opportunities and plenty of disappointments. But there's one big drawback: Being an XX is lonelier than you think it is. Sometimes, nobody seems to understand what you want to accomplish AND you do not have anyone in your organization who can truly relate. Right! That's why you, as an XX’er, should join a peer-to-peer roundtables. At Sheboygan County Chamber, we have many: Nonprofit Executives, Sales Professionals, Safety Managers, CFO/Controller/Internal Control Managers, HR Managers, Business Owners, Work-site Wellness Coordinators and Strategic Sourcing Professionals. Every other month, we meet to openly share our concerns with a safety net of strict confidentiality. An XX may be confident , but you don't have the answers to everything--and while you may not lack confidence, you may lack experience. The answer to that is joining a Chamber peer-to-peer roundtable. Also, remember that in a roundtable environment, the learning never ends. Even the smartest, most prescient XX doesn't have all the answers, but someone else in your roundtable might have some ideas exactly for you. By listening to fellow roundtable members, you're sure to learn something! Another part of the appeal is that fellow XX’ers are likely to be honest with you--and maybe even blunt. In summary, being an XX’er shouldn't be a synonym for going it alone, totally! Your Chamber roundtable can be a wonderful place where plenty of successful other XX’ers will be happy--and even eager--to help you attain your goals. And, one of basic principles is CONFIDENTIALITY.
