The Imaginarium at Mead Public Library is a makerspace for our community; a DIY haven where skills are exchanged and camaraderie is built through creativity, invention, education, and fun.

The Imaginarium is free of charge and available to all ages for self-guided use during library hours, but children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Available equipment includes Apple iMacs with Adobe Creative Suite software, Apple iPad Air 2 tablets, Canon PowerShot digital camera, Canon CanoScan flatbed scanner for photos and documents, digital video converter (VHS to DVD), GoPro action camera, Wacom Cintiq creative pen and touch display, Ultimaker 2 3D printer, Silhouette Cameo precision cutting machine, sewing machine, Arduino and Lilypad electronic prototyping kits, plus art, jewelry, papercrafting and other craft supplies.
Equipment in the Makerspace was funded by the Kohler Foundation, the Friends of Mead Public Library, and the Mead Public Library Foundation. The Digital Media Lab is part of the Makerspace, and that equipment was funded by the Green Bay Packers Community Foundation, the Institute of Museum and Library Services (via a Library Services and Technology Act grant), and the Mead Public Library Foundation.
The Imaginarium offers open-studio times when staff or volunteer assistance is available, as well as classes with specific themes and more direction from instructors.
