Peer-to-Peer Roundtable format:
Everyone brings up a topic they wish to discuss
The group decides which topic to focus on
The group discusses possible solutions/improvements to the topic
The facilitator takes notes from the group
The person who's idea is discussed is able to take the notes back for reference

ROUNDTABLE TESTIMONIAL – DARLENE OTT
I have a multi-faceted position at Zimmermann: Accounting/HR/Safety/ISO Manager. As the Office Manager of a small company, I wear many hats. It is difficult to seek out the information I need to keep up with HR and Safety within limited time constraints. Attending the Safety Manager and HR Manager Roundtables makes it possible for me to glean from the knowledge of individuals wearing similar hats and reciprocate by sharing what I have learned with others. It also helps me to stay informed about changes that may affect my role in HR and Safety. Whenever I attend a Chamber roundtable, I gain reassurance that the tasks I face can be manageable. It is refreshing to see that I am not alone in these types of situations and have the support of peers. My stress level is definitely reduced. I am always able to apply the knowledge I gain at the Roundtables to my tasks at Zimmermann. I have shared information with the owner and at times with others in the same field when applicable. I’ve attended roundtables at the Chamber and wherever the Safety Manager roundtables occur. I enjoy the tours made available after the Safety Roundtables. The Chamber setting also works well. Roundtable attendance affords the opportunity to discuss issues with professional peers in a confidential setting. The best way to determine the value of attendance is through first hand participation. It is well worth the time investment in yourself and your company.
ROUNDTABLE TESTIMONIAL - GREG BIERMAN
I find the Safety Managers Roundtable to be quite informative, and feel a bit relieved to know that I’m not the only person facing issues with training, funding, and gaining compliance throughout my organization. Other members are always forthcoming with stories of situations that have challenged them and how things were handled. I find the
sharing of local contacts or sources to be invaluable. Greg Bierman,
Environmental and Safety Coordinator, Lakeland University
