Someplace Better Tour for Human Resource Professionals, Recruiters and Realtors
The Someplace Better Tour of Sheboygan County is specifically designed to teach local human resource professionals, recruiters and realtors about Sheboygan County and all that it has to offer, while providing sales and marketing training to help sell it. Participants will visit several local attractions, hear from community leaders and learn about topics that are important to area newcomers.
How do we know what’s important to newcomers? We spent several months in 2015 hosting focus groups, listening and learning from area newcomers of different ages who are single, married with children, and come from diverse cultures. We want to share what we’ve learned to help you attract, relocate and retain talent. An added benefit is the connections you will make during the program.
Whether you're new to Sheboygan County or a lifelong resident, you WILL learn something from this tour
and your passion for Sheboygan County will be ignited.
Don't just take our word for it.

"One of my favorite experiences I had last summer. Having grown up in Sheboygan County, I thought I knew what it had to offer. After attending this tour, I felt refreshed, excited and proud of this beautiful place we live in and all it has to offer. I would tell anyone and everyone to attend this tour, those born and raised here and those who are looking for their new home. It truly is someplace better."
Rebecca Flipse, HR Specialist, ACUITY
"As a newly relocated HR to Kohler Company and Sheboygan, I gained so much from the chamber HR tour. In fact, I still reference many of the places I visited with peers, associates and candidates who inquire about community activities, schools, housing options, economic growth, etc. The tour covered so many topics and provided a well-rounded view of the community. I feel informed and empowered to speak confidently about Sheboygan and surrounding areas, despite my short time as a resident. Additionally, I have many established business professionals to network with in the area as well. Extremely fun and value-added!"
Jessica Drecktrah, HR, Kohler Co.
"The tour of Sheboygan County was great! After working in Sheboygan for the past 8 years, I was surprised to learn so much about the county. The tour provided information about working and living here - all of which was relevant to my work in recruitment. I would highly recommend the tour to anyone that is involved with recruiting or assisting people to relocate to Sheboygan County. I was so impressed with the area that I decided to move from Port Washington to Plymouth! Now that's a testimonial!"
