FARNSWORTH MIDDLE SCHOOL
- Must be Wisconsin DPI certified in Special Education Cross-Categorical or Emotional Behavioral Disabilities, and/or Learning Disabilities, and/or Intellectual Disabilities, middle childhood to early adolescence.
- Knowledge and experience working with EBD, LD, and ID students.
- Must be able to show previous students' successes.
Ability to work with various learning styles, relate to a wide variety of individuals, possess a good concept of inclusion, co-teaching and a focus on the future academic, social, and emotional needs of EBD, LD, and ID students. Must be knowledgeable in the IEP process. Must be able to work as a team player with teachers, support staff, administration, parents, and community agencies. Excellent communication skills are essential. Knowledge and experience in working toward inclusion of Special Education students in regular classrooms providing the needed levels of support. Knowledge/experience with full inclusion/content mastery programs and social skills. Ability to work with other staff to create best possible learning environment. Trained or willing to be trained and able to serve on the CPI non-violent crisis intervention team.
