Job Description
The Osthoff Resort is currently seeking a qualified individual to join our culinary team as our Lead Baker. This position reports directly to the Executive Chef and will be contributing to managing and executing the daily culinary operations and production of the pastry kitchen. The Lead Baker will be responsible for training new staff, ordering, inventory, and planning and executing the daily demands of hand scratched bread, cakes and pastries, focusing on maintaining a top class culinary product within a high volume kitchen. The Lead Baker will also assist in maintaining the control of inventory, food/labor costs, and kitchen sanitation.

Qualified candidates must:
- have a culinary degree with a minimum of five years varied and progressive experience in pastry
- be able to pay close attention to every detail, and be poised to take pride in the profession and the daily work it demands
- be highly organized
- be self-motivated with a passion to develop new products and skills
- have the ability to work with minimal direction
- have a flexible schedule
