Job Description

The Osthoff Resort is currently seeking a qualified individual to join our culinary staff as our Banquet Sous Chef. This position reports directly to the Executive Chef, and will be responsible for co-managing the daily culinary operations of the banquet department. This position, along with fellow Banquet Sous Chefs, will supervise and support the kitchen operation and production, mentor kitchen staff, oversee staff scheduling, and have a hands-on involvement with preparation and execution of daily events and catering menu selections, ordering, inventory control, food/labor cost, and kitchen sanitation.

Qualified candidates must have at least five years of experience working within a high volume kitchen, and a current Serve Safe certification. A culinary degree would be preferred, but not required with a comparable work experience. Candidate must be highly organized, an effective communicator, effective in providing exceptional customer service, a strong leader, and must have a flexible schedule including availability during mornings, afternoons, and evenings.

The Banquet Sous Chef position is a full-time position, which includes eligibility for our complete benefit package, as well as resort-wide usage benefits.
