Job Description

Rocky Knoll Health Care Center is searching for 1st, 2nd & 3rd shift C.N.A's. Both part-time and full-time position available with a starting salaray between $12.70/hr. - $14.76/hr.

$500 Sign On Bonu for C.N.A's! ($250 at time of hire, $250 on your 1st anniversary)


Provides comprehensive nursing care to residents by performing routine and simple tasks under the direction of licensed staff.

Supports the principles of the nursing process, standards of nursing practice, current state regulations as per HFS132 and federal regulations, and / or the program objectives for the diversified population of the facility.


Assists residents with activities of daily living, i.e., eating, bathing, dressing, etc.

Performs simple treatments as assigned, i.e. vital signs, specimens, etc.

Observes, reports, and charts on the activities of daily living and areas assigned on care plan.

Attends and contributes in resident care plan conferences as necessary.

Answers call bells/lights/alarms.

Performs approaches identified in care plans.

Responsible for general appearance of units as needed.

Performs emergency cleaning as assigned.

Distributes residents’ mail on the units.

May monitor incoming calls when the switchboard is closed.

Cleans wheelchairs and other equipment as assigned.

Completes documentation/charting as needed or assigned.

May perform other varied duties/assignments per facility needs.

Attends in-service education programs and assists in providing on-unit orientation for nursing staff.

Assists in providing orientation to nursing staff.

Provides facility updates to all nursing staff, i.e. policy and procedure updates and changes.

Attends in-services provided by facility in order to update their skills. May also provide suggestions for topics they would like to have discussed at monthly meetings.


High school graduate or equivalent experience preferred.

Current Wisconsin certificate as a Nursing Assistant including annual 12 hour educational requirement.

Ability to handle crisis intervention situations as directed by individualized care plan, facility protocol, resident rights, etc.

Functional understanding of medical terminology.

Understands and effectively carries out oral and written instructions.

Understands and promotes the concept of comprehensive individualized nursing care for a diversified population.

Follows direction from licensed staff (RN’s and LPN’s). Formally supervised by Nurse Supervisor.

Performs duties with considerations for residents, employees, and visitors.
