As the Accounting Clerk for Hospitality & Real Estate, you will be responsible for:
Daily sales and settlement reconciliation of the property management system, food and beverage and retail point of sale systems used by the business.
The completeness and accuracy of accounts receivable.
Maintaining and reconciling all balance sheet accounts for specific business assignment.
Preparation of monthly sales tax reports.
Reconciliation of general cash and operation cash as well as periodic cash audits.
Monitoring the integrity of operational point of sale systems and the transfer of information to the data warehouse, Datavision.
Maintaining and reconciling hospitality employee uniform purchases.
Preparation and processing of monthly General Ledger closing entries. This involves the computation of source data; the preparation of detailed journal entries, input into the General Ledger System; and the auditing and reconciling of the above data.
Production of various statistical reports for use in publication of operating statements.
Reviewing all food and beverage costs and/or retail costs and/or inventory counts for assigned businesses. Responsible for accurate ending inventory account balances.
Preparing and processing procurement cards purchases.
Producing monthly Hospitality & Real Estate operation statements for assigned businesses. This involves assisting with the maintenance of reports; control of monthly processing; review of system output; and initiation of necessary corrections. A working knowledge of both the reporting system and the composition of the various financial statements is required. Also, to review these statements and reports for accuracy and research any unusual items.
Coordination and controlling the processing of monthly accounting journals; and related material which constitutes input to the General Ledger System.
An associate degree in accounting is required
