As the Shipping/Receiving Clerk for The American Club, you will be responsible for:
Receiving all food and supplies for the restaurant. Verifies counts, weights, and cost of all items
Providing initial quality control check by visually inspecting produce, meat, poultry, and other perishable items to ensure that they meet established quality standards and specifications.
Verifying that items received correspond with items ordered and invoiced.
Taking monthly inventory of food products in the receiving storage areas, as well as all inventoried paper supplies.
Ensuring, through direction, that all soda vending machines in the front of house, as well as the back of house, are full at all times. Records the actual amount of soda used and is responsible for the deposit of all money from these machines.
Responsible for cleanliness of all receiving areas.
Responsible for all items shipped out UPS or Fed Ex, to insure all items are packaged properly. Have all needed paperwork, billing information and meet all pick-up times. Also receive all UPS and FedEx, deliver to proper location and log for daily records.
Assembling the boxes that are needed for shipments. The shipping information is double checked for the preparation of shipping labels. The clerk will package the items to be shipped out.
Inspecting each package for correct items, damaged items and relay any information to Restaurant Manager.
Examining outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
Contributing to the overall success of the restaurant.
High School Diploma
Requires strong verbal communication skills, effective organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks. Must be able to stand and walk for majority of shift. Must be able to lift up to or exceeding 50 pounds on a regular basis. Basic telephone skills required.
Valid drivers’ license
Ability to work independently
Understanding of beer, wine and liquor
This is a full time position, working 5:00 am – 1:00 pm
