SUMMARY:FIRST FRIDAY FORUM-with Adam Payne\, County Administrator
DESCRIPTION:Join us Friday\, October 1st with presenter\, Sheboygan County Administrator\, Adam Payne to learn more about the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) and how it effects Sheboygan County specifically. \n\n \n\nSheboygan County and the City of Sheboygan received $22 million each of ARPA funds\, and with all 29 local units of government combined\, over $51 million has been allocated to our area (not including LTC). The State and Federal Government also have numerous grant opportunities being rolled out for broadband and many other purposes. \n\n \n\nThe US Department of Treasury provided preliminary guidance on what it can be used for\, expected to finalize later this summer or early fall. We want to be ready to work more effectively\, work in collaboration to generate proposals\, and leverage resources to make wise and impactful investments. To help us succeed\, Sheboygan County has constructed six ARPA funds task forces to bring a variety of backgrounds\, skill sets and experience to the table as we determine how best to utilize the funds for the long term growth and success of Sheboygan County. ARPA Task Forces include\, Transportation\, Workforce Development\, Affordable Housing\, Childcare\, Behavior Health and Broadband Development.
