SUMMARY:FOCAL POINT: CRASE Active Shooter Business Training
DESCRIPTION:We hear about active shooters on the news. \n\nBut we never think it could happen to us. \n\n \n\nIt happens where we least expect it - schools\, shopping malls\, places of business. No one is safe.\n\n \n\nBut you can be prepared. \n\n \n\nSince 2002\, the Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training (ALERRT) at Texas State University has been used to train law enforcement officers across the nation in how to rapidly respond to dangerous active-threat situations. \n\n \n\nAs a result of increased public awareness\, many citizens have asked what they can do to protect themselves and reduce the dangers faced during an active shooter event.\n\n \n\nAvoid/Deny/Defend has been developed as an easy-to-remember method to follow. Hiding and hoping is not an effective strategy.\n\n \n\nJoin our Focal Point\, where Sgt. Matthew Spence and Deputy Brent Multer of the Sheboygan County Sheriff's Office will conduct CRASE (Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events) Training.\n\n \n\nIn this fast-paced CRASE Training seminar\, you'll learn:\n\n\n\n	Strategies and concepts you can use to prepare and respond to an active shooter event or other life-threatening incident.\n	How to help law enforcement response and how to limit the number of potential victims.\n	The tools to make quicker decisions at home\, school or work.\n\n\nIncrease your chances of survival by being informed and prepared!
