This year's symposium focuses on cultural impact in the workplace and how it revolves around leadership preparedness for the emerging workforce\, which ultimately narrows in on effective traits that all organizations can use. As Bauer states\, "Many pro-diversity initiatives have one shortcoming: They don't work! Reviewing empirical studies conducted by his and other research teams\, he will discuss effective ways to get people to develop positive attitudes towards members of other social groups and to engage in inclusive behaviors (in schools\, organizations\, and communities)."\n \n \n\n\n\n\n \n \n Caleb Frostman\, Wisconsin Secretary of Workforce Development\n \n \n Caleb Frostman will also be joining us to speak from the state level on employee retention and the workforce shortage we as a state are currently experiencing.\n \n \n\n\n\n \n \n Kelly Lietz\, Vice President of Marketing and Brand Strategy and \n\n Rebecca Deschane\, Talent Initiatives Director for the\n\n Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation\n \n \n Also joining us to speak on behalf of the state level will be Kelly Lietz and Rebecca Deschane. A key premise is creating an environment in which members of each generation can be motivated to be productive and inspired to stay. She will discuss the predictable differences in the generations and demonstrate that generational differences are not wrong\; each generation brings strengths. \n \n \n\n\n\n \n \n Scott Schmidt\, Scout n About\n \n \n Scott Schmidt from Scout-n-About will be leading interactive break-out sessions throughout the morning. In addition to these sessions\, Scott will also be presenting "Changing Company Culture for the Better - Where to Start?" \n\n \n\n Following Scott's presentation\, a panel consisting of members from four generations: Generation Z\, Millennials\, Generation X\, and Baby Boomers will be answering questions and sharing their experiences about their generation in the workforce along with their perception of the other three generations in the workforce.
