Grand Opening ribbon cutting and dog adoption celebration with the Humane Society of Sheboygan County scheduled for October 8, starting at 4:45 p.m. at the Shops at Woodlake
KOHLER, Wis. – September 27, 2019 – This October, The Shops at Woodlake Kohler welcomes two new stores offering popular men’s after golf apparel and accessories – perfect for on and off-course looks – and a women’s lifestyle shop with various clothing, gifts, home collection, beauty and wellness products. A Shop Named Sixty and a renovated Scentualities are located in the center of the shopping space.
The dog-friendly Shop Named Sixty boasts a charming story and is named in honor of Pete Dye’s dog, a constant companion with the legendary golf course architect who designed world-renowned Whistling Straits and Blackwolf Run at Destination Kohler. Pete purchased his first dog for $20, a leash for another $20 and finally, a collar for $20. All in for $60, all of his dogs thereafter were bestowed with the name Sixty. Every iteration of Sixty lived a good life and accompanied Pete along many of his course designs, including those in Kohler.
The community is encouraged to help celebrate the shop’s official Grand Opening with a Sheboygan County Chamber of Commerce ribbon-cutting ceremony on October 8, 2019 at 5:15p.m. As part of Kohler Co.’s ongoing commitment to the Humane Society of Sheboygan, 10 percent of the profits made in the shop’s first week open will be donated to the organization, with further quarterly donations planned. The Humane Society will be onsite with animals in need of a good home and all adoption costs, and further donations, will go toward construction of the organization’s new shelter. Both shops will also have grand opening promotions and sales available.
“We are thrilled to add to our retail experiences at Destination Kohler and to celebrate it with the community, the Chamber and the Humane Society,” said Josue Reyes, Director of Retail, Kohler Hospitality & Real Estate. “We encourage everyone to come out, support the Humane Society and tour the news shops.”
A Shop Named Sixty will offer products from known golf brands such as Travis Mathew, Vineyard Vines, Polo Ralph Lauren, Linksoul, G/Fore and others. Housed within the same space, Scentualities offers home, body, and fashion products from various brands including Barefoot Dreams, Dear John Denim, Kendra Scott Jewelry, Bloomingville and Finchberry Soaps.
“The diversity of the brands we carry in both A Shop Named Sixty and Scentualities cater to a casual and active, modern lifestyle,” added Reyes. “A Shop Named Sixty will offer clothing that transfers from on-course to off-course easily, with stylish, trendy and comfortable options. Scentualities is fully renovated with expanded offerings of home, body and fashion products. We’re excited to be providing these new shopping experiences for our customers.”
