Forward to the next 100 Years 2. Sheboygan Symphony Chorus founder, Janet L. Herrick, is returning to Sheboygan to guest conduct the first work on the program, “Lift Up Your Heads, O Ye Gates” from Händel’s Messiah. 3. Next on the concert will be the world premiere of Michael Torke’s work for chorus and orchestra, commissioned by the Sheboygan Symphony Orchestra, titled “Music at Night.” The work is based on words from Shakespeare’s The Merchant of Venice. 4. The Symphony will close 100 years, in an epic and inspiring manner, with the Second Symphony of Gustav Mahler.
