Department: Information Technology
Salary Range: $14.10/hr. to $20.58/hr.
Status: Full Time
 
PURPOSE AND SUMMARY
Performs administrative support duties for the Information Technology (IT) Department as assigned. Operates the facility's communication systems accurately and efficiently. Functions as a backup for other IT positions as required.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Schedule and coordinate meetings, record meeting minutes, maintain schedules and calendars; arrange and confirm appointments. Answers the telephone as needed. Acquire the skills as needed to operate new office technologies as they are developed and implemented. Receive, sort, and distribute incoming and outgoing mail and other material, including interoffice  correspondence. Ability to create and process invoices and purchase orders for department. Support IT Department as backup for Courier responsibilities. Picks up, transports, processes, and delivers mail, packages and other items to County locations necessary to the efficient operation of the County. Distributes incoming mail and forwards mail to responsible parties as deemed  appropriate. Operate motor vehicle safety. Support IT Department as backup for Print Services responsibilities. Ability to finish print materials with guidance from Lead Printer. May perform other duties or responsibilities as needed.
 
QUALIFICATIONS
High school graduate or equivalent. Valid Wisconsin driver’s license. Ability to learn new software applications. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office software and prefer experience with Gmail and Google Calendar.
 
Knowledge of administrative/clerical procedures and business principles, including:
?         Proficiency in spelling, punctuation, and grammar
?         Experience in producing professional correspondence and documents
?         Ability to type 50 w.p.m.
?         Professional verbal and written communication skills
?         Planning and organizing skills
?         Time management and prioritization skills
 
Must communicate effectively with a positive attitude and be able to handle several situations at once with poise and confidence. Ability to practice discretion with confidential information. Ability to demonstrate reliability, resourcefulness, initiative, and good judgment. Must be able to work independently and be a self-starter. Ability to understand and comply with federal, state, and facility safety regulations.
