Your Responsibilities:
  • Assist parts manager in maintaining a clean and efficient parts inventory.
  • Identify parts necessary to complete repairs in the shop off repair estimate.
  • Order parts as needed to keep the parts inventory at the correct level.
  • Work with vendors to locate and order parts.
  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with all vendors.
  • Expedite parts and/or search alternative sources when determining defective parts.
  • Maintain accurate accounting record for purchased and/or returned parts.
  • Secure approval for special and/or emergency orders by Collison Manager.
  • Employee discounts on vehicles, parts, and service.
  • Oversee receipt and storage of parts by verifying all parts orders and parts for accuracy and completeness.
  • Stock in all incoming parts and reconcile parts invoice and actual parts received.
  • Order parts not stocked from factory, from other dealerships and parts suppliers as required.
  • Write purchase orders for parts and sublet work needed from other firms
  • Make sure all defective parts on factory claim repair work, that have to be returned to the factory, are turned in by the mechanics.
  • Take telephone orders for parts and accessories.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Previous Parts and Collision Experience Preferred but not required
  • Ability to learn and use dealership software programs
  • Must have problem solving abilities, organizational skills, attention to detail and be able to work in a fast paced environment
