Job Description
Job Description:  The School District of Sheboygan Falls is accepting applications for a part-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) (2 Days per week or 15 hours/week). This person will provide services and supports to children with disabilities under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist. Candidates must be able to collaborate with teachers, related services providers, parents, and administration. This person will have the ability to work with students both individually and in small groups within the Special Education and General Education settings. They will have knowledge of current practices and techniques and be able to implement programming that further develops the sensory-motor skills of our students. Qualified candidates must hold or be able to obtain DPI certification for Occupational Therapy Assistant and must provide complete application, cover letter and attach three (3) letters of recommendation and most current transcripts.
 
Qualifications:  Must hold WI DPI O052 or 885 license and WI Department of Safety and Professional Services (DSPS) license.  Ability to: incorporate motoric goals into educational curriculum; support the special education program of students by ensuring the necessary adaptations, equipment, information and training; assist in the integration and inclusion of students into school and community activities; actively participate as a member of the educational teams by sharing information, problem-solving and supporting other disciplines.  Individual must possess good rapport with students and staff, great organizational skills, and flexibility in working in a variety of school based settings.
