Student Engagement Specialist/Student Leadership Board Advisor

Salary Expectation: Non-Exempt – $21.53 per hour (minimum)

Location:  Lakeshore Technical College – Cleveland, Wisconsin
Employment and Work Schedule:
38.75 hours per week x 52 weeks
Monday – Friday
Flexible day/evening/weekend hours based upon needs of the college
Provide leadership and direction to the LTC Student Leadership Board (SLB) and student organization advisors, officers, and members; responsible for coordinating student life activities. Collaborate with Student Services and Instruction to track information for future student life planning. Coordinate the daily operations and track utilization of student services programs such as the LTC Express student transit and StudentSHARE. Implement co-curricular and service-learning activities.
Job Description
(85%) Student Leadership Board and Student Life 
• Provide student leadership as primary advisor of the LTC SLB.
• Act as primary contact for all student organization advisors and officers.
• Collaborate with LTC SLB Executive Committee, student organization advisors and members to develop and monitor annual LTC SLB requirements and process. 
• Provide direction to the Executive Committee of the LTC SLB; research and facilitate various leadership and service opportunities.
• Coordinate the annual LTC SLB budget and annual Official Handbook of Student Organization Operations. 
• Facilitate student organization requests for funding.
• Coordinate LTC SLB Student Squad student organization program.
• Coordinate needs for Wisconsin Student Government meetings and membership.
• Manage content, edit, produce and oversee distribution of the electronic student newsletter.
• Plan, execute, and evaluate a comprehensive series of in-person and virtual student life and Learn, Lead Succeed programs that enhance student development and promote engagement, including support of student led programs, community partnered programs, weekend/late night programs, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion programs.
• Develop, coordinate, and track service-learning program and evaluate success based on student participation and feedback.
• Develop and coordinate annual student planner.
• Coordinate professional contracts, travel/lodging, facilities, and IT/Computer Services setup work orders. 
• Develop and communicate annual student life and organization accomplishments report; collaborate with Marketing office to promote LTC SLB achievements to the community.
• Coordinate and manage the development, production and maintenance of promotional and informational material related to student life.
(15%) Student Services Activities 
• Oversee and coordinate the daily and administrative operations of the LTC Express and StudentSHARE clothing and hygiene program. 
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on the overall StudentSHARE program.
• Manage day-to-day administrative tasks for LTC Awards Celebration.
• Provide leadership and coordination for statewide WTCS Student Ambassador program.
• Participate in college events, including planning and implementation, to promote the college and student life activities.
• Compose and shoot photographs for use in student engagement promotional/informational materials.
• Provide an exceptional customer service experience to both internal and external customers throughout every interaction. Other duties as assigned.
• Associate degree or equivalent with two to three years’ recent related occupational experience required. Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Interpersonal and intrapersonal talents and skills that foster a team environment and effectively ensure positive outcomes.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, advise, develop, and listen to resolve issues and concerns, provide feedback, and delegate.
• Demonstrated ability to present publicly to diverse audiences, to communicate effectively and develop relationships with all levels of staff and outside entities.
• Set goals, plan, organize, implement, monitor, and meet deadlines independently as well as in a team setting.
• Demonstrated skills in meeting management and facilitation, customer service (internal/external), and public relations. 
• Technical and computer skills to effectively carry out assigned responsibilities.
• Exemplify college values in all staff and student interactions, as well as services delivered.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and relate successfully with staff, students, and people of diverse cultural, social or educational backgrounds.
• Fluent, bilingual individual is beneficial.
