INVENTORY SUPPLY AND DISTRIBUTION
Environmental Services Worker I
 
Department: Rocky Knoll
Position: Environmental Services Worker I - LTE
Salary Range: $14.10/hr. - $20.18/hr.
Status: Limited Term Position (up to 6 a month placement with flexible hours)
 
PURPOSE AND SUMMARY
Inventory supply and distribution. Responsible for maintaining inventory, distribution and educating employee’s regarding personal protective equipment protocols. Help to maintain facility environment in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition by performing housekeeping and laundry tasks. Performs cleaning and disinfecting tasks focused on infection control to prevent of spread of COVID-19 at Rocky Knoll.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Responsible for maintaining PPE inventory and distribute PPE as needed. Responsible for educating all shifts with safety protocols of PPE equipment. Maintains inventory of housekeeping and laundry supplies, receives deliveries and stocks shelves. Clean and sanitize all rooms in all assigned areas, such as restrooms, shower rooms, storage rooms, resident rooms, lounges, offices, dining rooms, etc. Gathers and disposes of trash, cleans walls and ceilings, damp dusts furniture and fixtures, washes windows and mirrors, and cleans and refills all dispensers. Relocates and organizes residents’ belongings and room upon notification of planned room change. Moves soiled laundry and distributes linens as assigned. Cleans equipment and work area as assigned. Participates in continuous Quality Improvement Activities as assigned. May perform other varied duties/responsibilities as per facility needs.
 
QUALIFICATIONS
High school graduate or equivalent experience preferred.  Ability to understand and effectively carry out oral and written instructions. Ability to operate specialized equipment necessary to perform the job. Ability to understand and comply with federal and state, and facility safety requirements. Valid Wisconsin driver’s license. Possess the ability to communicate effectively.
 
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
Cooperates with outside vendors and service providers. Performs duties with consideration for residents, peers, other employees and visitors. Cooperates with other employees to attain the goals of the department and facility.
 
 
 
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. Risk of blood borne pathogen exposure is considered high.
