Community Services Program Coordinator (Bilingual)

Partners for Community Development, Inc. is looking for an individual to handle the administration of the Community Services program as well as provide Spanish or Hmong translation and interpretation services to our clients.  Partners’ Community Services program works to eliminate language barriers and strengthen connectivity within our community by offering interpretation/translation and informational services. This is a full-time position that requires flexibility in scheduling that may include some evening and weekend hours.

  • Participate, as the principal professional employee, in policy interpretation and implementation.
  • Provide interpretation/translation services from English to Spanish/Hmong and Spanish/Hmong to English to clients.
  • Cultivate and develop cooperative relationships among service providers, funding sources, planning bodies and community groups to help assure that the Partners Community Services programs effectively meet community needs.
  • Establish affiliation and local support from businesses, non-profits, and governmental entities.
  • Manage financial resources, including operating budgets, collection, disbursement and accounting for all funds, and official records.
  • Responsible for supervising, selecting, training, and developing programs to serve the minority communities.
  • Assist in the development of proposals requesting funding for the establishment and expansion of Partners Community Services programs.
  • Enhance public understanding and support of the Partners Community Services program through an established marketing plan.
  • Supervise employees and volunteers in the delivery of services to minority groups.
  • Give Executive Director feedback on areas that need improvement and services needed in community based on client needs.
  • Gather and turn in the documentation required to report and bill the services provided.
  • Maintain confidentiality and a professional demeanor at all times while acting as a representative of Partners for Community Development, Inc.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Community Education, Business Administration, and/or a related field, or experience in managing local community programs and the ability to develop a non-profit organization.
  • Bilingual (Spanish or Hmong and English) required, written and spoken. Bilingual expertise in other languages will be considered.
  • Knowledge of planning, public relations, communication and marketing techniques.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse constituencies and funding sources.
  • A commitment to the improvement of the conditions of minorities and the disadvantaged.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a multi-disciplined program; this includes skills in organizing, planning, and managing financial assets.
  • Flexibility to work evening and weekend hours to meet the scheduling needs of community members/clients.
  • Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable means of transportation.
