Works under the direction of the Bemis Bath Shoppe Manager. The scope of the incumbent’s job would include all phases of activity normally associated with Bemis Bath Shoppe. This is a part time position averaging 10-15 hours per week. Generally, this position works two Saturdays per month.
*Provide friendly, courteous customer service using cross-selling techniques to guide, direct and influence the purchasing decision.
*Product consultation and demonstration. Act as a consultant in terms of product function, features, and design.
*Attend training/educational meetings of Bemis products with our sales organizations & customers. In depth product knowledge: materials, components, function ability.
*Cash register sales, order fulfillment, process customer returns as needed and all related point of sale transactions.
*Assist with store operations, not limited to but including opening and closing, cash reconciliation, bank deposits, general housekeeping, etc.
*Assist with merchandising of displays to maintain a sophisticated product presentation.
*Inventory control/replenishment. Maintain proper stock levels.
*Miscellaneous projects as required.
Skills & Qualifications:
*High school diploma or equivalent required
*Ability to effectively and professionally interact with customers
*Strong verbal & written communication skills
*Strong problem solving
*Ability to work with minimum supervision
*Ability to work flexible hours including 1 to 2 Saturdays per month
*Average approx. 10 – 15 hours per week
*Typically two days per week
*Depending on vacations, events and training, hours might vary
*Attention to detail is very important
*AS400 experience desirable
*Intermediate skills for Microsoft Office program
*Strong teamwork skills
