ABOUT YMCA CAMP Y-KODA

Camp Y-Koda is an 80 acre camp located just west of Sheboygan Falls bordered by the Sheboygan River to the north and east. The camp was founded in 1969 by the Sheboygan County YMCA and has been offering summer camp experiences ever since. Camp Y-Koda features a beautiful stretch of the Sheboygan River for canoeing, kayaking, tubing and nature studies. The property has a low and high ropes course complete with a zip line and forty foot climbing wall.

Camp Y-Koda also features a swimming pool, four acre lake, bb gun and archery ranges, basketball and volleyball courts, playground, soccer field and more! There are two lodges at camp and four campsites including cabins.

GENERAL FUNCTION
Assist with leading activities for community organizations that visit camp. Activities are heavy in belaying for climbing wall & high ropes, leading team building activities & lifeguarding at the pool & lake, but do include other camp activities such as canoe & kayak trips, archery, bb guns, etc.

  • Salary: Hourly, based on experience


WORK SCHEDULE

  • Part-time Casual/ Seasonal Position
  • Flexible Hours April - October 2022
  • 1-15 hours per week


EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND QUALIFICAITONS

  • Must be 16 years or older
  • First Aid, CPR, Lifeguarding is preferred, but not required
  • Experience belaying at ropes course preferred, but not required
  • Trainings available!
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.; able to push, pull, hold, handle or drag equipment up to 20lbs.; bend, squat, & kneel frequently; and walk on uneven terrain outdoors
