Community Recreation Supervisor in the Sheboygan Area School District Recreation Department

The Sheboygan Area School District (SASD)-Community Recreation Department (CRD) is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the position of Recreation Supervisor. This position will have a primary focus in Kidstop/Childcare before and after school, pre-school, and youth athletics. They will play a key leadership role assisting in the overall planning and development of comprehensive recreation/child care programs. The Recreation Supervisor is directly responsible for planning, coordinating, directing, and supervising diverse programs for all ages and abilities. The successful candidate must be team-oriented, creative, self-motivated, and enthusiastic with strong leadership and collaboration skills.
  1. Must be a graduate of an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation Administration/Leadership, Community Education, or a related field.
            General Administrative
·      Communicate with building administrators, secretarial staff, custodians, and local municipal governments regarding facility utilization.
            Program Planning and Supervision
·      Develop, organize, promote, and supervise Kidstop/Childcare before and after school, pre-school, and youth athletics.
·      Coordinate/form youth sports teams with a focus on fun, skill development, and sportsmanship.
            Budget and Fiscal
·      Assist in annual budget recommendations for area-specific programs.
            Personnel Management
·      Recruit, interview, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate part-time and seasonal personnel including scheduling and conducting annual staff training.
·      Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers and volunteer coaches.
Community Relations
·      Promote and market the CRD programs including; flyers, press releases/articles, Facebook, and other social media.
·      Promote positive public relations.
1.     Twelve-month contract.
2.     Salary commensurate with experience.
