Job Description
Salary Expectation: Support Staff – $20.08 per hour (minimum)
Reports To: Director of Facilities
Location:  Lakeshore Technical College – Cleveland, Wisconsin
 
Employment and Work Schedule:
40 hours per week x 52 weeks
Monday – Friday; 7:00am to 3:30pm
Flexible day/evening/weekend hours based upon needs of the college
 
Purpose
Provide a wide scope of grounds maintenance and warehouse duties to LTC within the Facilities Department.
- The campus grounds contain many different aspects such as wooded areas, a disc golf course, along with hills and valleys of short grass and long grass areas. The warehouse functions to support all the shipping and receiving at the campus along with storage of unused inventory for all college divisions.
 
Job Description
• Perform general grounds, equipment, and facilities department vehicle maintenance and minor repairs. Coordinate outside repairs, as needed.
• Trim shrubs, hedges, remove trees, cut grass, leaf blowing and other grounds work in the absence of seasonal employees.
• Remove snow and ice from roads and walkways.
• Coordinate onsite snow removal efforts of full-time maintenance staff and contractor.
• Inventory and purchase grounds maintenance and shipping/receiving supplies.
• Establish and maintain preventative maintenance schedules on facilities grounds equipment, warehouse equipment and facilities vehicles.
• Maintain and position exterior campus flags as directed.
• Oversee work direction of grounds maintenance part-time employees and contractors.
• Responsible for training seasonal grounds maintenance.
• Maintain inventory and workflow of shipping/receiving supplies and equipment located in the warehouse.
• Complete annual physical inventory of the facilities warehouse.
• Tag and record major equipment, submit written description and identification numbers to the Financial Services department.
• Provide delivery service to all campus departments.
• Participate in planning meetings, coordinate and perform setup for meetings, conferences, and special events, i.e., Graduation, College Preview Day, Experience LTC, job fairs, etc.
• Provide budget input for seasonal employees, contractors, custodial supplies, vehicles, equipment, and grounds related projects.
• Oversee grounds maintenance contractors and assist in contractor selection to include: snow removal, landscaping, asphalt, excavating, etc.
• Conduct facility audit inspections related to grounds.
• Provide contract specifications and trade-in allowances for grounds equipment and vehicles.
• Provide Five Star Customer Service throughout every interaction. Other duties as assigned.
