Field Service Engineer
Kurtz Ersa, Inc. , US distributors of ERSA Rework and Inspection soldering equipment, seeks to fill an opening it currently has in its service department.
This individual will be responsible for the installation and technical support of customer equipment in the field and remotely via electronic or telephone communication. Installation duties would include performing or supervising the mechanical installation of equipment at the customer site, and the initial start-up and training of customer personnel. Technical support duties would include trouble shooting, providing technical guidance, or software support. In our fast-paced environment, this individual will also be required to communicate and interact with other members of our internal service function, sales staff, as well as our local and foreign suppliers.
Ideal candidates will be self-starters, great communicators, problem solvers, adaptive, energetic, and ready to take on a challenge. Travel to customer sites throughout North America up to 50-60% for installation projects is required.
1-3 years of comparable experience in the electronics manufacturing industry desired, or a two year electro mechanical degree are desired but we will consider training excellent candidates regardless of previous experience.
Previous experience with computers and standard Microsoft Office applications are required.
