There is HOPE was created to honor a loved one lost to suicide and to provide support for others navigating grief and loss. In 2005, the event was entrusted to MHA Lakeshore, where it has continued to grow into a meaningful space for hope, healing, and connection. What began as a tribute has become our largest annual community event, advancing our mission to promote mental health through education, support, advocacy, and public health efforts. We walk for those we have lost, for those who have faced their darkest moments and survived, and for those who may still be struggling in silence. We walk to remind one another that it’s okay to not be okay, and that reaching out for help is a sign of strength. We walk in support of the families and loved ones who carry the weight of loss and the lasting impact it brings. Join us for this special 21st Annual There is HOPE Walk and be part of a community rooted in compassion, resilience, and hope.
There is Hope, an annual fundraising and awareness walk held along beautiful Lake Michigan in Sheboygan, WI. This powerful event not only supports those who have experienced the tragic loss of a loved one to suicide but also brings our community together to make a difference around suicide awareness. It is also an opportunity for those who face mental health struggles to support one another and feel support from our community. All funds raised support our programming efforts around mental health and suicide prevention.
