Senator LeMahieu is a native to Sheboygan County, having attended Sheboygan County Christian High School before graduating with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration and Political Science from Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa. He currently lives in Oostburg and is the publisher and owner of the Lakeshore Weekly, a small business that serves the Sheboygan County area. Previous to serving in the Senate, Devin sat on the Sheboygan County Board and continues to serve in the community as a member of the Manitowoc and Sheboygan County Chambers of Commerce and Bethel OPC. In addition to his involvement in the community, Devin is also an avid golfer and Ironman competitor having successfully completed 12 Ironman triathlons. Senator LeMahieu was elected to serve as a member of the State Senate in 2014. In 2020, he was elected by his colleagues to serve as the Senate Majority Leader and currently serves on the Committee of Senate Organization, the Joint Committee of Employment Relations, the Joint Committee on Legislative Organization, and the Joint Legislative Council.
Representative Joe Sheehan serves the 26th District to the Wisconsin State Assembly, and serves on the Committee on Education and the Committee on Workforce Development, Labor, and Integrated Employment. Born and raised in Michigan, Rep. Sheehan attended Michigan State University, earning two Bachelors Degrees in Social Science secondary education and Psychology. He continued his education at the University of Houston, where he obtained his Master's degree in Education. His career in the Sheboygan area started in 1989 when he was hired as Assistant Principal at Urban Middle School. The next year, he was hired as Principal of James Madison Elementary School. During this time, he also pursued his PhD at Marquette, eventually earning it in 1995. After completing his PhD, he was hired as Director of Personnel for the Sheboygan Area School District. In 1999, he became co-superintendent of the district, serving in the shared office until 2005, when he became the sole superintendent of the district. He would continue to serve in this role until retiring from the district in 2018. After retiring, Joe took on the role of executive director at the Sheboygan County Economic Development Corporation, where he collaborated with employers, government agencies, and local stakeholders to foster job creation and strengthen the economy. Joe has been married to his wife, Barb, for 22 years, and they have four children and two grandsons. He enjoys coaching youth baseball and walking their family cocker spaniel, Macy.
Representative Lindee Brill - Wisconsin State Assembly District 27
Representative Lindee Brill serves the 27th Assembly District to the Wisconsin State Assembly. Rep. Brill was born and raised in Sheboygan County, graduating from Oostburg High School in 1999. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Business, with a double major in Marketing/Finance and Spanish from Hope College in Holland, MI. She is married to her husband Eric and have 3 wonderful children: Abby, Preston and Henry and currently reside on their family hobby farm in Sheboygan Falls.
