OCTOBER MANUFACTURING MONTH TOUR: Rockline Industries

Please join us in celebrating Manufacturing Month with an October Manufacturing Month Tour!
For Manufacturing Month this October, the Sheboygan County Chamber is bringing back our Chamber member manufacturing tours. We have offered these tours in the past and took a few years off, so we are excited to bring them back this year. The goal is to give our chamber members an opportunity to see what some of our local manufacturers do, learn more about operations, and get a behind the scenes look at the facility.

October 9th Manufacturing Month Weekly Tour at Rockline Industries.

    

For 50 years, Rockline has been privileged to supply the world’s best retailers with private label consumer products. Private label combined with Contract Manufacturing Services and Food Services allows Rockline to serve consumers and customers in a wide variety of locations. Our products are used daily and can be found in large retail stores to convenience stores, restaurants, hospitals, dental offices, offices, department stores and virtually anywhere people are looking for convenience and high performing products. 

We will have a tour that will max out at 25 people.

For safety reasons, participants must be able to safely walk themselves during the tour.  We do not have safe accommodations otherwise.

Rockline Visitor Tour Prep Instructions:
The safety of visitors and contractors is of the utmost importance to us.  To maintain safe and quality product we request that all visitors and contractors follow our Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) and Health and Safety policies while in our manufacturing areas. These practices include:

• Signing in at the front desk upon arrival and obtaining a visitor or contractor badge that must always remain visible.
• Contacting their host if a visitor has a contagious disease or open & visible skin surface injury to ensure appropriate precautions are taken.
• Wearing safety glasses in the labs and active production areas. Safety glasses can be supplied at the plant.
• Wearing steel toe footwear if a contractor must work on the production floor. Shoe caps can be supplied at the plant.  Steel toed shoes are not required for plant tours.
• Wearing close toed footwear with no high heels for plant tours.  Open toed shoes are not permitted on plant tours.
• Wearing hairnets and beard nets in labs and active production areas.  These will be provided at the plant and must cover all hair.
• Removing all jewelry, including rings, watches, and necklaces.  Tour participants can wear earrings provided they are covered by hairnets.  Medical bracelets are permitted. 
• For safety reasons, participants must be able to safely walk themselves during the tour.  We do not have safe accommodations otherwise.
• Disposing of any food, gum, candy, or drink prior to entering active production areas. 
• Washing hands prior to entry into active production areas.
• Wearing plant supplied gloves if in contact with raw materials or open product.
• Wearing hearing protection (provided) if on the Coffee Filter production floor.
• Being alert at all times for your personal safety.
• Not smoking, using tobacco, or E-cigarettes while on Rockline property.  We are a tobacco free facility.
• Not taking photographs or videos while in the facility.  Photography is not permitted anywhere in the facility.
