About Us

Mission
Seeking to put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope.

Organizational Overview & History
Habitat for Humanity International was founded in 1976 by Linda and Millard Fuller in Americus, Georgia. Their goal was to tackle a significant social problem – affordable housing for all. Habitat believes that everyone deserves a simple, decent and affordable place to live. Our local Habitat affiliate, Habitat for Humanity Lakeside, was founded in 1993. We operate four primary programs in Sheboygan County which are our ReStore, our Home Buyer Program, our Home Repair Program (formerly known as A Brush with Kindness) and our Rock the Block Program.
