The Wisconsin Watercolor Society will be presenting their 65th anniversary with an exhibit , “Diverse Directions” at Gallery 110 at the Plymouth Art Center in Plymouth, WI. The exhibit begins with an opening reception on October 13 from 4:30 to 7:00. The exhibit runs from October 13 to November 24, 2017. The Wisconsin Watercolor Society was established in 1952 in Milwaukee. The group began with a few member and has grown to almost 100 members from throughout Wisconsin. The WWS was the first organization to be devoted exclusively to watercolor painting. It’s purpose was then, and still is, to promote watercolor as an important medium with exhibits throughout the state of Wisconsin and to serve as a catalyst for those genuinely interested in watercolor. The theme for this exhibit is diverse directions and the paintings will feature how unique and diverse watercolor paintings can be presented. From soft and subtle colors to strong saturated pigments, the subjects of the paintings will be diverse as well. Landscapes, florals, portraiture, abstraction and non-objective will be presented
