The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is a side-splitting, hip musical comedy (a Broadway Tony-Award Winner) that centers on a fictional spelling bee set in a geographically ambiguous Putnam Valley Middle School. PAC's production will be performed by members of our "Mill Street Live", group. The show follows six quirky adolescents competing in a spelling bee overseen by three equally quirky grown-ups who barely managed to escape childhood themselves. Through the ups and downs of the BEE they're forced to learn that winning isn't everything and that losing doesn't necessarily make you a loser. An unusual aspect of the show is that four real audience members are invited on stage to compete in the spelling bee alongside the six young characters.
