Come experience carriage-driving style of bygone days as Wade House hosts a weekend carriage driving competition. The event celebrates carriage-driving style of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries which encompasses horsemanship, driving acumen, care and preservation of carriage and harness, and the intangible qualities of good sportsmanship. Guests will observe drivers in traditional dress and their horse-drawn vehicles of all types compete in turnout inspection, working and reinsmanship classes, and cones courses. Horses of many breeds and sizes will compete for division championships over the two day event. On Saturday be sure to see the Concours d'Elegance invitation class, where the most elegant entry will be giving the coveted ribbon!
