We are kicking off October Manufacturing Month with our October First Friday Forum. Manufacturing is Sheboygan County's largest industry and our manufacturers face challenges from workforce to regulations to environmental best practices to tariffs. Join us and learn how our panelists are turning challenges into opportunities. They will be discussing sustainability, innovation, workforce and various aspects of manufacturing and how they are keeping pace with today's demands. Alec Bartolai is the Sr. Sustainability Engineer for Sargento Foods Inc in Plymouth WI. He is responsible for Sargento’s sustainability program including leading facility teams and projects, tracking and reporting initiatives and representing Sargento’s sustainability efforts with its customer base and other stakeholders. He has more than 10yrs experience in sustainability and environmental management / compliance. Alec is a LEED AP and holds a Masters in Engineering from University of Illinois at Chicago and Bachelor of Arts from Northwestern University.

Todd Bauer currently serves as the Manufacturing Manager at SacoAEI Polymers in Sheboygan. Todd previously held the position of Production Supervisor before becoming the Manufacturing Manager. On June 15th of this year Todd celebrated his 20th anniversary with SacoAEI.
Jay Deitz is the Director of Operations for BW Papersystems Sheboygan, a Barry-Wehmiller Company. He began his career in Industrial Project Management in the late 70's and moved to the manufacturing sector in the early 90's. Jay served as Manufacturing Director for MarquipWardUnited, formerly the world leader in Corrugated Equipment Manufacturing during the early 2000's. He then moved to Germany to Lead the acquisition of Bielomatik and the creation of BW Papersystems Stuttgart. After 3 years in Germany he has returned to his Wisconsin roots in his role at the Sheboygan facility. Jay and his wife Linda currently reside in Sheboygan.
