ABOUT JIM COUNTER
Jim Counter began performing in front of audiences at the age of 12 and since then he's opened shows for artists including The Marshall Tucker Band, Jonell Mosser, Toby Keith, Martina McBride, and Sawyer Brown. Jim and his band Riley Road placed first in 1991 at the annual state band pickoffs in Rhinelander, WI at the Hodag Festival. Counter also performed at the first annual 'Freedom Sings' concert in Nashville, sharing the stage with artists Kim Richey, Steve Earle, and John Kay of Steppenwolf. He sang the National Anthem to sellout crowds in pro football for the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears, pro baseball for the Chicago Cubs and Atlanta Braves, Collegiate Hockey, the Nashville Sounds AAA baseball team, and with his brother Mike Counter at a Brett Favre Celebrity Softball Game.
Counters repertoire includes the likes of The Doors, James Taylor, Rush, The Beatles, Bob Seger, Fleetwood Mac, Garth Brooks, and The Beachboys, mixed in with some timely originals.
