For over sixty years RCS has been empowering individuals to reach for the stars and make their dreams a reality. Drama & Theater have been a significant influence in the lives of our participants. Our plays enable people with disabilities to move beyond their physical, mental, and emotional limitations. The preparation and production empower participants and give them dignity, self-esteem, respect for self and others, humor, knowledge, as well as a love for the theater, music, and the arts! Family members, caregivers, friends and the community benefit from seeing participants help prepare or perform in the plays. Participant talents are showcased through acting, the creation of props, costume development, and socialization. Truly a community event, the annual play is an endeavor which brings together actors and actresses, with and without disabilities, to perform together each year. The 2018 RCS show will be a production of Annie Jr. RCS participants, staff, and volunteers will be working to put together a fantastic show for our audiences in April. Event Parking: Available parking can be sought within the RCS parking lots at 1607 Geele Ave. and the staff parking lot on the north side of Geele Ave. Additional parking is available within the Calumet Square shopping complex at 1222 Calumet Ave. (the parking lot of the former Pick-n- Save Grocery store) within walking distance of the RCS Empowers.
