Join us on Saturday, May 18th, at 7:30 p.m., for this unique experience featuring John Bian, assistant principal violinist with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, performing Samuel Barber’s Violin Concerto, followed by Gustav Mahler’s First Symphony, “Titan.” Barber’s violin concerto is one of the greatest American masterpieces, with lush passages and a fireworks finale. Mahler’s masterwork features evocations of nature, Austrian country dances, darkly witty klezmer tunes, and a stunning grand finale. “As we embark on this musical journey, we embrace the soul-stirring melodies of Barber's Violin Concerto, resonating with its lush beauty and fervent passion. Then, we delve into the vast landscapes of Mahler's First Symphony, where nature's whispers and human emotions intertwine in a symphonic tapestry of profound depth and grandeur,” said Ernesto Estigarribia Mussi, Music Director of the Sheboygan Symphony Orchestra. Individual tickets are available for $20-60, depending on the seating tier. Student rush (day of performance) tickets are $10. To purchase tickets, call The Weill Center at 920.208.3243 or go to sheboygansymphony.org.
