Supply chain management is a critical driver of profitability in manufacturing. When you do it well, you can reduce costs and improve service—and increasingly, drive revenue. How can your business adapt to a changing Wisconsin supply chain and capitalize on innovative opportunities? Join Schenck, BMO and our guest presenters John Gurda and Doug Fisher to explore the manufacturing industry from a historical context and for insight into staying competitive in a changing supply chain environment. John Gurda, Wisconsin historian and contributor to Milwaukee PBS’ Around the Corner program, will provide a look into the history of manufacturing in southeast Wisconsin, its contributions to today’s economy and why manufacturing continues to lead in Wisconsin. Doug Fisher, director of Marquette University’s Center for Supply Chain Management, will share insight into advanced manufacturing technology across the supply chain, including rapid prototyping, advanced manufacturing, and automated logistics—and the ever-increasing need to be responsive to customers’ expectations and create value.
