Your Role
As a Superintendent at Quasius Construction, you'll coordinate all on-site phases of our construction projects, taking charge of planning, scheduling, resource allocation, safety, and cost and quality control, while providing direction and ensuring compliance to keep operations on point for a Quasius-quality delivery every time.

Job Requirements and Responsibilities: 

  • Collaborate with project management during pre-construction planning by developing and implementing comprehensive project procedures, construction documents, detailed work schedules, and job budgets.
  • Analyze specifications to strategically plan construction procedures, considering start and completion times, as well as staffing requirements for each construction phase.
  • Facilitate the procurement process for tools, equipment, and materials, ensuring timely delivery to align with work schedules.
  • Supervise field personnel to uphold order, safety, and cleanliness on the job site, conducting weekly toolbox talks.
  • Actively participate in weekly job safety and progress meetings, occasionally taking the lead in running these sessions.
  • Provide direction to subcontractors, overseeing the planning and execution of work procedures, interpretation of specifications, and coordination of construction phases to prevent delays.
  • Maintain direct communication with owners, clients, and architects.
  • Implement on-site changes, such as trades adjustments, Requests for Information (RFIs), and modifications to construction documents.
  • Conduct regular inspections of work in progress to ensure compliance with specifications and adherence to construction schedules.
  • Exercise control over labor and equipment costs.
  • Prepare and review reports on progress, materials used, and costs, adjusting work schedules based on report findings.
  • Ensure accurate documentation through daily work logs, time and material tickets, time cards, etc.
  • Conduct post-construction reviews upon completion of the job.

Superintendent Qualifications/Skills/Traits

Required:
  • Knowledge of Construction processes
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook
  • Procore software experience

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements
  • Experience in overseeing commercial construction projects
  • Ten years' experience in the Construction industry
