YMCA Camp Y-Koda is now seeking an Early Childhood Teacher to help lead our nature based preschool classroom, serving ages 3-6. This is position is for those who enjoy working with youth and comfortable working outdoors. This position would primarily work at our Maywood Park Location at: 3615 Mueller Drive, Sheboygan, WI 53083

Responsibilities Include: 

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum
• Follow and implement Wisconsin DCF state rules & regulations
• Lead Engaging Activities (art, literacy, music, outdoor play, etc.)
• Guide children using positive behavior techniques
• Complete & design lesson plans, daily reports, attendance forms and more. 
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom
• Communicate daily with families and staff in a professional manner

Qualifications:

• Must be age 18 & over
• Strong Classroom management skills
• Comfortable working in all weather elements such as rain, shine and snow
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and actively engage with children
• Reliable attendance and professionalism 
• Preschool or Infant-Toddler Credential
• ECE Credit and Non-Credit Courses
• 48 College Credits including 3 ECE Credits
• Hold a certificate with the WI Registry
• Willingness to get a background check and health screening

Hours/Days:

• Monday-Friday
• 12:00pm - 4:30pm Each Day

Salary/Category: Part-time position that begins at $15 per hour or based on qualifications
