Your Eye Care Team is dedicated to providing comprehensive eye and vision care services to the greater East-Central Wisconsin region. With multiple clinics strategically located, our team offers a full spectrum of ocular health assessments, vision correction solutions, and optical products in a welcoming and professional environment.

Job Summary

This is a unique opportunity to learn multiple aspects of our practice, including front desk operations, clinical patient care, and optical services. Previous experience in eye care is helpful but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates strong interest and aptitude.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly and professionally, ensuring a positive first impression
  • Verify insurance information and schedule appointments efficiently using electronic medical records (EMR) systems
  • Assist optometrists during comprehensive eye exams by taking vital signs, performing preliminary testing, and accurately recording medical histories
  • Prepare patients for examinations by clearly explaining procedures and ensuring comfort throughout their visit
  • Provide optical support including frame selection, lens fitting, and adjustments, along with informed product recommendations based on patient needs
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Support optical laboratory functions such as lens ordering, prescription verification, and basic eyewear repairs when needed
  • Promote eyewear accessories and contact lenses by understanding product features and helping patients make informed purchasing decisions

Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with EHR systems preferred
  • Ability to accurately perform and document basic vital signs and understand patient needs across pediatric and senior populations
  • Basic retail skills, including sales techniques, retail math, and inventory awareness
  • Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance and patient privacy standards
