Reports to: Executive Director
Location: Love INC of Sheboygan County
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary Range: $45,000–$48,000 per year

Position Overview

The Connection Center Manager at Love INC of Sheboygan County is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Connection Center and all Gap Ministries (products and services that meet immediate needs), ensuring the efficient and compassionate connection of struggling neighbors with community resources. This position requires a trauma-informed, empathetic approach and effective communication skills to serve individuals in challenging circumstances while also managing a large volunteer pool, developing and maintaining relationships with local churches and community organizations, and representing Love INC in the wider community. The Connection Center Manager will ensure that volunteers are well-equipped and supported to provide high-quality service and that the Christian values of Love INC--prayer, discernment, and compassion--are consistently reflected in all interactions. These values include a focus on a Biblical view of help through our Redemptive Compassion philosophy.
This role requires a proactive and organized leader capable of managing resources, fostering collaboration, and ensuring operational excellence in a fast-paced nonprofit environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Connection Center Management

  • Manage the daily operations of the call center, ensuring volunteers are effectively connecting neighbors with appropriate resources.
  • Monitor call center performance, providing guidance and addressing challenges that arise during calls.
  • Ensure that calls are handled with empathy, compassion, and respect for the neighbor’s dignity, incorporating trauma-informed practices into all interactions.
  • Track types of requests received through the call center in order to determine gaps of services within the community.
  • Prepare status reports (monthly, quarterly, annually) as specified by the Executive Director and Board.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to identify new program opportunities based on data collected within the Connection Center.
  • Attend staff meetings and perform other duties that support the Love INC mission as needed.
 

2. Volunteer Management and Development

 
  • Recruit, train, onboard, and supervise a volunteer pool of individuals between the from various local churches.
  • Provide ongoing training and resources to ensure volunteers are equipped to serve in a compassionate, trauma-informed, and professional manner.
  • Maintain open communication with volunteers, providing support, guidance, and feedback to ensure a positive experience for both volunteers and those they serve.
  • Ensure volunteers understand and uphold Love INC’s Christian values and maintain the organization’s reputation in the community.

3. Community Resource Management and Outreach

 
  • Build and maintain relationships with local resources, churches, and organizations to ensure a broad network of services is available for neighbors in need.
  • Regularly monitor community needs and gaps in services to develop and expand ministries in order to meet those needs.
  • Collaborate with partners to ensure seamless referrals and support for neighbors seeking help.
  • Represent Love INC of Sheboygan County in the broader community by speaking to church groups, Christian gatherings, and other organizations about the mission and work of Love INC.
  • Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with church leadership, local businesses, and community stakeholders to strengthen Love INC’s presence and impact.
  • Promote the vision of Love INC and invite support, engagement, and partnership from community members.

4. Gap Ministries Development

 
  • Review data collected by Connection Center to determine any gaps of services within our community that match the Love INC mission.
  • Facilitate meetings with Gap Ministry leaders and assist with the recruitment of volunteers as needed.
  • Develop and implement processes, forms, and record-keeping systems to ensure that staff and volunteers are oriented, trained, and equipped.
  • Accomplish organizational goals as determined with the Executive Director and Board in order to explore opportunities to expand and add value to the overall ministry.
  • Participate in Love INC and community events throughout the year as deemed appropriate for role.
 

Qualifications

  • A personal relationship with Jesus Christ and adherence to the Apostles’ Creed.
  • Bachelor’s degree in social work or business administration preferred along with relevant work experience.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with facility management software.
  • Commitment to Love INC’s mission and values.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in social work, case management based on compassionate, trauma-informed practices.
  • Ability to adapt to changing needs and unexpected situations with grace and poise.
  • Proven success in communication and relationship-building skills.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Progressive PTO plan based on years of service, maxing at 25 days.
