Centennial Lodge, our newest addition to event facilities at Anokijig, is just about complete and soon will be ready to serve groups of 50-180 year-round for a wide variety of events. This modern yet rustic event space will be available for parties, meetings, classes, events, and more.
We're looking for someone to help us make the most of this grand facility as well as other camp spaces to serve our campers, groups, and the greater Sheboygan County community. That special someone will have the flexibility and creativity to find all the possible ways Centennial Lodge can help us extend our mission. This person will help to build a strategic use plan, handle marketing, sales, planning, logistics, vendor relations, as well as supervise events. Since 1926, Camp Anokijig has offered campers of all ages a multitude of exciting and rewarding camp experiences. The Anokijig facility consists of 396 acres of forest, marsh, and farmland surrounding 2/3 of the shores of Little Elkhart Lake in Plymouth, WI. Programs include an extensive summer camp program annually serving nearly 3000 campers aged 7-16 in one-week camp sessions, 3 family camp weekends, a multitude of recreational group outings, and numerous outdoor education groups.
As a 501c3 not for profit organization there is a large reliance on volunteers for program delivery as well as annual camp set-up and tear-down. Full Time staff members must be comfortable working with volunteers of multiple ages and skill sets.
Weekly and daily work schedules are dependent on groups being served and administrative workload. Scheduling includes weekday and weekend responsibilities throughout the year.
