Downtown 925 to Host Hometown Send-Off for ROCKONSIN State Finalists The DOORKNOBS
SHEBOYGAN, Wis. — Downtown 925 is proud to host a special hometown send-off celebration for The DOORKNOBS, one of Wisconsin's most exciting young bands and a finalist in the 2026 ROCKONSIN State Competition, on Thursday, June 18, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
The free, all-ages event will showcase the talented local musicians before they take the stage at Summerfest's Aurora Pavilion on Friday, June 19, where they will compete in the 2026 ROCKONSIN State Finals against the top youth garage bands in Wisconsin.
Selected from a field representing 54 middle and high schools across the state, The DOORKNOBS earned a coveted place among the Top 10 youth bands in Wisconsin. During the competition, finalists will be evaluated by music industry professionals on musicianship, creativity, technique, rhythm, vocals, and overall band synergy.

Downtown 925 is especially proud to celebrate drummer Aiden Melei, a member of the Downtown 925 family, as he and his bandmates prepare to represent Sheboygan on one of Wisconsin's biggest stages.
"This is an incredible achievement for these talented young musicians," said Samuel Melei, proud father and business owner. "We're thrilled to support Aiden and The DOORKNOBS as they showcase their hard work, passion, and talent at Summerfest. We invite the community to join us in giving them a memorable hometown send-off."
The June 18 event offers the community an opportunity to hear The DOORKNOBS perform live, meet the band, and show support before they compete at Summerfest—known worldwide as "The World's Largest Music Festival."
