Gov. Evers Appoints Lakeshore College Student to the Higher Educational Aids Board

CLEVELAND, WI – Gov. Tony Evers has appointed Lakeshore College student Sandra Higher to a three-year term on the Higher Educational Aids Board.
 
The Higher Educational Aids Board is the agency responsible for the management and oversight of the student financial aid system for Wisconsin residents attending institutions of higher education. Hyer will serve as one of 12 members appointed by Evers.
 
Hyer, a nursing student, is actively involved in campus and statewide activities. She represented Lakeshore College as its Wisconsin Technical College System Student Ambassador and Student Government Governor. She participates in TRIO student support services, a federally funded program that helps first generation, lower income, and disabled students navigate their way through college, and chaired the college’s Student Leadership Board.
