CLEVELAND, WI – Lakeshore Technical College legal studies/paralegal graduate Mackenzie Johnson has been named the recipient of the Paralegal Association of Wisconsin’s annual scholarship. Johnson will receive $1,000.
Johnson, a Manitowoc resident, graduated with honors from Lakeshore on May 20. She will continue her education at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay where she will pursue a bachelor’s degree in democracy and justice studies with an emphasis on social justice.
While at Lakeshore, Johnson Facility expansion will result in more grads, narrowing the gap in healthcare job openings.CLEVELAND, WI – A ceremonial groundbreaking event took place May 22 launching the construction of a 17,000-square-foot health skills and education center at Lakeshore Technical College in Cleveland. Lakeshore’s current health skills lab and classroom areas will be updated and expanded to create the new Froedtert & Medical College of Wisconsin Center for Health Care Excellence.

CLEVELAND, WI – Lakeshore Technical College has received a $650,000 grant from the National Science Foundation, the college's fourth and largest NSF grant in four years. The grant will fund the establishment of a new type of charter school that is expected to help address the continuing labor shortage in the manufacturing sector.
Manufacturing is the largest industry sector in the Lakeshore community. It provides a third of high demand CLEVELAND, WI – More than 700 credentials will be awarded during graduation on May 20 to students who have completed their educational paths at Lakeshore Technical College.
Credentials to be awarded include: 563 associate degrees, technical diplomas, and certificates; 99 Youth Apprenticeships; 44 Registered Apprenticeships; and 34 General Education Development (GED) certificates and High School Equivalency Diplomas (HSED).

CLEVELAND, WI – Lakeshore Technical College has named Dr. Joseph (Joey) Walter its new vice president of instruction, effective June 19, 2023.
Walter is currently the dean of business, industry, and technology at Tallahassee Community College in Florida. He oversees programs focused on business and entrepreneurship, computer technology, digital media, and engineering technology and design. Prior to his work in Tallahassee, Walter was the dean of As a home-schooled student, Grace DeBruin was encouraged to explore the arts.

To see such accomplishments on the resume of a 20-year-old college student studying graphic design would likely surprise many people.
Grace DeBruin, a graphic and web design student at Lakeshore Technical College, began the process of illustrating CLEVELAND, WI – Lakeshore Technical College has been awarded $1.94 million in grant funding from the Wisconsin Technical College System.
